LCOY Morocco 2026 Volunteer Programme

LCOY Morocco 2026 is the Moroccan edition of the Local Conference of Youth and will take place in Guelmim from 15 to 18 October 2026. YOFIC states that it has been officially mandated by YOUNGO, the youth constituency associated with the UNFCCC process, to organise the conference.

The 2026 Southern Region Edition is organised by YOFIC in partnership with Association AICHA, which YOFIC describes as UN ECOSOC-accredited. The event is expected to bring young people from across Morocco together for four days of forums, workshops and environmental activities.

One of the practical environmental activities highlighted by the organiser is tree planting in the oases of Oumifiss. The wider conference process will also contribute to Morocco’s National Youth Statement, intended to carry youth priorities into the regional youth climate process and COP31.

Volunteers are being recruited across 16 teams. Confirmed examples include Design & Branding, Partnerships & Sponsorships, Photography & Videography, Social Media & Content Creation, Hospitality & Registration and Institutional Relations. The call is therefore relevant to applicants from a wide variety of academic and professional interests, not only environmental science.
