Detailed Description
Euroculture is a two-year, 120 ECTS Erasmus Mundus Joint Master focused on European politics, culture and society in a global context. It brings together an international consortium of universities and combines perspectives from history, political science, law, sociology, cultural studies and related humanities and social-science disciplines.
For the 2027–29 intake, Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available to selected applicants. Scholarship recipients receive €1,400 per month for the full 24-month programme, a waiver of programme participation fees and health insurance.
International mobility is a central part of Euroculture. Students begin at one consortium university and move to another partner university for their second semester. Scholarship recipients' first and second universities are determined by the consortium, normally taking their stated preferences into account.
Core European partners are located in Göttingen, Groningen, Udine, Strasbourg, Olomouc, Kraków and Uppsala. The wider Euroculture network also includes non-European partners in India, Canada, Mexico and Japan for selected academic-track opportunities.
The programme combines interdisciplinary study with research and professional development. Students progress from foundational European Studies to specialised courses, research or professional experience and a final Master’s thesis.
