Detailed Description

Microsoft’s European Government Affairs team in Brussels is recruiting a Finance, Operations and Management Assistant Coordinator for a 12-month internship beginning in November 2026.
The European Government Affairs organisation works to build relationships and strengthen dialogue with European stakeholders in support of Europe’s digital and broader policy agenda.
Unlike a primarily policy-focused Government Affairs internship, this position concentrates on the operational side of the team. The intern will support finance, procurement, invoicing, budgeting, administrative coordination and management assistance.
Responsibilities include supporting purchase orders and contracts, processing invoices, maintaining financial and procurement records, contributing to budget planning and forecasting, and working with internal teams, suppliers, consultants and law firms.
The intern will also provide administrative support to senior leaders, including calendar management, meeting coordination, visitor arrangements, business travel, itineraries, documentation and expense submissions.
The position is therefore particularly relevant to candidates interested in business operations, finance, accounting, management, procurement, administration or corporate affairs within a major international technology company.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics or a related field.

  • Applicants should have good numerical and analytical skills.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills are required.
  • Applicants should be capable of managing several priorities and following through on actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
  • Applicants should demonstrate a collaborative, open and inclusive working style.
  • Sound judgement and discretion are expected.
  • Candidates should be able to learn quickly, work proactively and adapt in a changing international environment.
  • French written and verbal skills are considered an advantage.
