Detailed Description
The Middle East Youth Summit 2027 (MEYS 2027) is the seventh edition of an international youth programme organised by Youth Break the Boundaries. It will take place in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, from 22 to 25 March 2027. The summit is designed primarily for emerging Muslim youth leaders who want to strengthen their leadership, communication and community-development skills while building international connections.
The 2027 edition carries the theme “Empowering Emerging Leader for Positive Change within the Islamic Brotherhood” and continues the programme’s wider “Together for Ummah” focus. Participants are encouraged to explore community challenges and develop practical ideas for positive and sustainable change.
A major component of the programme is the International Symposium and Social Project Muslim Community Development initiative. Participants work in multicultural teams of approximately 5–7 people and develop a project connected to one of four Sustainable Development Goal areas: SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 5 Gender Equality, SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities or SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals.
The programme also includes leadership and capacity-building activities, group discussions, international networking, Islamic historical learning and opportunities to present collaborative projects. The organiser describes MEYS as a platform combining leadership development, ethical values, cultural exchange and community impact.
